These special pliers have unique advantages over the standard type of pliers. The flat nose pliers operate with a parallel compound action which brings the jaws together uniformly producing an even grip.The compound-action handles are coupled to jaws that remain parallel throughout their range of movement. This ensures a secure grip on the article being held, even when working with difficult to hold items such as round beads. Provides a vise-like grip for all types of projects. Handles are nickel-plated and do not open by themselves, so the grip is maintained even when pressure is not applied. This knurled jaw models also feature an integrated V-groove along the length of one of the jaws. They excel at crimping and grasping near the tips since they apply uniform pressure across the whole face. Since the jaw faces stay parallel, these pliers may be used in a pinch to hold or turn a small fastener without deforming its face.
